Re: G500t Gyro

What exactly is it that you are having problems with? Its funny that you mention that gyro, because I just got home with my G500T about an hour and a half ago and it's all up and running now. I have to forwarn you that I am a newbie at this sport, but soaking up info like a sponge.

Are you having trouble with what wire goes where? You have 3 plugs. The big female plug goes to your rudder servo. Then you are left with 2 male plugs. One of which is white. That one goes into the aux port on the receiver of your choice. Just know which one you plug it in to.(You might need it later to adjust the gain, etc.) The other plug, the last one, goes directly into the rudder port on the receiver.

Hope this helps.

Hi I am wondering is do you only need 1 channel to remotly adjust the gyro to and from non-HH and HH as well as the gain of the gyro or is there one for each the reason I am asking this is because I am wondering if I will be able to use a 6 channel radio to start this hobbie or if I will need a a 7 or more channel

Re: G500t Gyro

I started out with a 6 channel radio and flew fine but the one i started out with only had 3 point curves.5 points are much better so i upgraded to 8103 and this is a really nice radio and worked well,i now have a jr 9303 which is even better radio and has a program built in for the gyro and the governor which is really nice feature, which alows you to set the gain to work with your flight modes and you can adjust it to fit your flying style.
Hope this helps

Re: G500t Gyro

Hey guys:

I've been working so much lately I haven't had much time to play. It's too bad too because the weather is really getting nice.

Anyway, I'm curious what kind of problem(s) you are having. I pretty much through mine in and just with a few adjustments within the radio it was working like a champ.

If I had to guess, I would say it something to do with a setting in the radio itself and not the gyro. That's my first impression.

Have you tested it with it powered up (electronics I mean) and did the tail swing thing to see if it was working and in the proper direction? I could retype what someone else already has on that subject, but I wouldn't tell it as good anyway. I think I read about that on www.raptortechnique.com it might have been here or something similar, just don't remember.

Let us know what exactly is going on.

Best of luck
