Will Futaba PCM work with Airtronics PCM?

HI Guys,

Will an Airtronics PCM Rx work with a Futaba 1024 PCM Tx?

Thanks

Re: Will Futaba PCM work with Airtronics PCM?

The answer is no 95% correct. The futaba is compataible with hitech from last time heard and airtronics I believe is cmpatable with JR

Airtronics is funny about their polarization with there electronics I do not
quite understand it since I use Futaba.

But anyways to make sure you can hook them up and see it either repond
or it will not

Re: Will Futaba PCM work with Airtronics PCM?

Thanks for the reply,
I've been told on other forums that with PCM RXs they don't mix between brands because of the codes that they use for PCM. What you are referring to is the frequency shift. Futaba and Hitec uses negative shift and JR and maybe airtronics use positive shift so they don't mix. This is just for Txs and Rxs, servos don't care as long as the plugs fit.

Electronics always are confusing to me but I know that somethings work some things
do not and forget why they don't exactly work and why and why not they are not compatible with each others product.

Re: Will Futaba PCM work with Airtronics PCM?

Yeah, I know quite a bit about the standard stuff but I have never worked with PCM and don't know the details. I know that they use a digital protocall but I didn't know if the language was standardized or not. Well I found out that it isn't so you can't mix the brands.
Thanks,
Huey
