Futaba vs Spektrum

I'm looking to buy a 2.4ghz radio system. Both Futaba and Spektrum are similarly priced and boast similar features. Does anyone have a preference or opinion?

Re: Futaba vs Spektrum

I use a Futaba T7CP radio which is FM....I am looking at replacing this with the same radio but fitted with 2.4 ghz. So look out for Futaba 7C 2.4ghz.

I always said I would go 2.4 ghz if/when a radio came out that had the same layout as my current radio. I have found this type of radio very easy to use, and will be sticking with this layout for many years to come.

I have had some experience with JR radios, I found one of them very hard to use...or hard to set up should I say. I tried locating its Gyro Mode and never found it, I got the gyro to work in the end. What I like about the JR was its pitch and throttle curves were 'mapped' ie you could see the curves laid out.

Each has their personal preference with radios, going 2.4 ghz is the way to go. FM is ok to a point but the added security of 2.4 ghz cant be ignored.

If possible you need to get to a shop and try both radios out, not flying a model!

but try navigating your way round the system and see which is the more comfortable to use.
