S9650 Vibrates

I have an AR6100 receiver and an S9650. On power up the servo arm goes into a rapid 1mm shake/vibrate/wobble. Not sure what to call it.

I've tried plugged directly into the reciver, and through the 401 gyro. Makes no difference. If I move the rudder, it works but still shudders. If I hold the servo arm(disk) it will stop, until I move the control again.

Suggestions?

Re: S9650 Vibrates

I dont know the servo but I do have a 401 gyro....the obvious points might be the gyro settings but as you said, you have tried it direct to the rx....are the linkages tight? any control rods must be able to rotate easily...the link should be nice and loose but without any visible play.

Its either the rx or the servo itself....can you use another rx to try the servo out?

Seems unlikely to be the gyro itself.

Re: S9650 Vibrates

Thanks Rob,

I plugged the offending servo into a different channel and it still vibrates. No linkages attached.

Re: S9650 Vibrates

Spoke to Futaba. They suggested heading to hobby shop and try a different one. Got a new one on order.
