timer functions in a 2720/2702

G'day all

I got my new JR 2720 (7202 in US) today. Not a bad little radio with the synthesized channels and great software, but where is the stopwatch or countdown timer function gone?????
I've owned 3 other computer radios and all have had some sort of timer function so you have some idea how long you have been up flying for.
But there is nothing in the 2720.... Are the boffins at JR on crack or something???? If i had of known there was no timer i probably would have looked a little harder at something else.
