| help , setting my new heli on futaba t7cp ok , merry xmas and happy new year every one , it s my first time and basicly i gave up , i got the following 2 months ago and i can't fly till now , i got a shogun V2 elec , and a futaba t7cp with an upgrade of EF Brushless Motor w/Pinion - Futaba g190 giro ,Futaba r156f 35 mhz ,Ef brushless esc 20 amp and 2100 lipo impulse . its my first time so all that was recommended by the guy in the store who was very helpfull back in uk where i got it from , i m in sudan now and i can't setup the futaba or at least i guess this is the problem . after a really long time i managed to wire the motor to the Ef brushless esc 20 amp heli because the stupied motor doesn't have color in on the wires !!!!!!!!!!! any way now all the controls seems to be ok except that when i put a full power the heli spins arround it self and never leave the ground . any one can help ! |

| Re: setting my new heli on futaba t7cp ok ill do my best to Explain this You have main blades turning clockwise so looking at your heli from the tail it going to pull the tail to the left . Looking at the pitch slider on the tail (Thing that moves back an forth on the tail) when you move the Heli's tail to the left the slider should go towards the case. Right it should go Towards the blades. In your case this sounds the backwards.

| Re: setting my new heli on futaba t7cp errr the tail would go right wouldnt it...the nose would go left. Try this: stand behind the helicopter make sure the power is on make sure the ROTOR IS NOT ABLE TO TURN!!!! unplug the gyro...reconnect the servo wire into the receiver put the rudder stick RIGHT....the rear edges of the tail blades should go RIGHT put the rudder stick LEFT....the rear edges of the tail blades should go LEFT if this is not correct then you need to swop the servo function....very esy to do on your radio...I have the same type. Plug the gyro back into the system ok...good......now swing the helis tail RIGHT....the tail blade rear edges should go LEFT.....this means the gyro is working and is doing what it should be doing......swing the tail LEFT....the tail blade edges should go RIGHT.....if this doesnt happen then the gyo is reversed.....you need to reverse it by using a switch on the gyro....usually marked REV Another thing? when the heli is stood still there should be a little bit of tail pitch....about 4 degrees or so.....when the engine is running and the rotor is turning there is torque being produced.....the tail rotor needs pitch to counter this torque....so make sure there is some pitch....the rear edges should point to the RIGHT a little bit....about 4 degrees like I said. let me know if this works. From the manual: Quote:
-------------------------------- Hello wkordofani. The tail problem needs to get fixed before lifting off. Just get it light on the skids, on a smooth surface, and check out the rudder action. You should be able to turn either way. When you get the tail straightened out if it doesn't lift off then recheck the setup... should be able to get 7 degrees pitch. If that's ok, then you don't have enough rotor speed. |

| Re: setting my new heli on futaba t7cp Yes thats right.....I should have said to watch the tail input from the gyro....the servo could be mounted at the front or on the tail boom or wherever...the crucial thing is to watch what the tail blades are telling you.....the gyro is there to counter torque.....so a heli nose right should see the tail blades putting in the pitch to counter this.....I always plug in the servo direct first.....get the right 'sense' of movement and then plug the gyro in....and see if it counters any yaw movement. Its a difficult to show in writing......the instructions are usually fairly clear about this.....but then some instructions can be a bit scant....like the manual for my recent build...a Predator Gasser....now thats some machine that can do damage if things are setup wrong ![]() Rob |
