Must be the gyro??

Hiya

Well i brought the new CSM 560 coupled with the JR 8700G servo, and I had it all setup by an expert in the game

When hovering, the tail had several nasty glitches, either to the left or right there was no "ONE WAY" it was doing it

I changed the servo to a standard Futaba 3001 and it seemed to settle it, so I thought as did the guy who was setting it up

I sent back the servo and got a brand new replacement

Now it is STILL doing it, but not maybe as much, when the TWITCH comes its quite pronouced so could it be the Gyro?

I have it set on SUPER SERVO and this setup is the recommended one to use which is why I brought the combo

anyone had this happen to them, or know what it might be or possibly offer a solution??

Its driving me mad!!!!

TIA!

Chris

Re: Must be the gyro??

Hello.

Afraid I don't know too much about JR radio's, but, have you notice any of the other servo's twitching etc? I ask, as it could be down to radio interferance, causing the servo to twitch momentarily. I have had this happen to me whilst flying planes, but never on my helis.

Good luck

Matt

Re: Must be the gyro??

sounds like the gain might need adjusting. My heli wags it's tail when the gain is set too high.
Also, HH gyros still need to be hovered in RATE mode to get the heli to hover without drifting, THEN, with the mechanical center established, the gyro can be switched back to HH.
They WILL work fine if the center is close, but if the actual center is way off, the HH gyro WILL compensate and hold the tail, but it MAY do weird stuff.
