| i voted ppm the reason is when i started years back the poeple i flew with said it's better to know if you have a glitch than have the radio hide it from you this way you can find it and fix it,i still think pcm is better so hope you guys will change my thinking this way i will have an excuse to change my 8 chanel for the new 9 chanel pcm. i'll just tell my wife the guys on the forum said so steff |

| I prefer to use PPM over PCM, I dont really have an issue with PCM receivers. In fact the PCM's ability to set each servo to a failsafe point on radio glitching is a nice feature when used in the right way. My experience though has shown me that an awfull lot of PCM users do not set there failsafes properly. So they must therefor only have this receiver for the look what I got value. On the saftey side of things this leaves the model in an even more dangerous state than if you use a ppm receiver. Imagin a heli with a receiver that can affect the position of the servos and lock out all interference. servos locked to where they were at the time of interference. now nobody in control or even attempting to control it till the receiver can get a clear signal again from the transmitter. it can go anywhere. With a PPM receiver if you get some interference at least you can fight for control and get the heli down even if its a crash you will have some part to play. The thing is with this receiver it shows you that there is the potential problem. you can land and find the cause hopefully and if it is real interference then you dont fly till that is gone for some 15 mins without any repeat. Yes, There are always going to be those that dont think. But to have the receiver take the heli out of my contol for the sake of a glitch that is intermitent, Which would otherwise give me the chance to get my heli down with some degree of control. NO THANKS, You Keep your PCM, I'll keep my PPM. They both have good and not so bad points. But nothing worth fighting over. the last difference that make me stick with PPM is budget. I can't afford PCM I have to keep this hobby as affordable as possible and if one receiver can do the job of letting me enjoy this hobby just as reliable but cheeper than the other then unless there is a great performance improvement then I'll go to the more affordable choice. Anyway I even board myself with this one so I'll quit now. Happy flying all, Daz
