| Honeybee2 - Compatibility of Sim Cables Hi everyone, I've just bought my first RC Helicopter - an ESky Honeybee 2. Unfortunately I didn't get a link cable with it The seller has been very apologetic as it should have been included but doesn't have one in stock for this model - he has at least been decent enough to offer to refund the cost of my purchasing one.The problem is that I'm not sure where to look or what to look for - I gather that the most common type of link cable is a microphone type cable, however the socket on the back of the controller looks more like an S-Video/S-VHS socket. The picture on the back of the manual looks like the other end of the cable is either a serial or joystick plug. So far I've tried google searching for the part number which didnt generate any productive hits, so I was wondering whether there was a generic part (ideally available in the UK) that I could purchase to do the job. Thanks in advance! |

| Re: Honeybee2 - Compatibility of Sim Cables Sabeltann, I just received a Honeybee2 this afternoon, and I did receive the cable. If you email me at cshorter@gmail.com, I'll send you a couple of pics tomorrow, plus any manufacturer information that might be on the cable itself. I can also supply you with the name of the distributor I purchased my heli from, he's located in California, USA, though, I don't know if that'll be a problem getting one to you in the UK. | None of the regular TX-to-PC cables will work with E-Sky HB2 transmitter. This TX, as well as its twin brothers E-flite and Twister "Channels Six" CCPM transmitters, have non-disableable CCPM, which prevents them from being used with any simulator. Fortunately, there's a special CCPM "un-mixing" interface sold by milehighwings.com http://www.milehighwings.com/usb_cables.htm which works with your transmitter and with all non-copyprotected simulators. It's USB and works in all Windows versions, including XP, as well as in MacOS X. I hope you'll find this info helpful, Boris |
