| setting for FMS simulator I just received a copy of the FMS flight simulator and can't figure out how to set it up properly. I would like to set it up so it sort of works like a helicopter - left stick is up and down right stick is left, right, forward backward. I'm not getting very far and any help would be appreciated. |

| Re: setting for FMS simulator You can use basic radios with FMS no problem..its a case of assigning the channels...the crucial one is channel 3..this is the throttle...assigning channel 6 which is collective pitch on rc helis (usually) to channel 3 as well, is important. The left sticks 'up and down' function controls two functions....throttle and collective pitch. Channels would look like this. 1..aileron/roll 2..elevator/pitch...not to be confused with collective pitch 3..throttle 4..rudder/tail 5..spare/gyro gain 6..collective For FMS and a basic radio you would want throttle and collective assigning to channel 3. The thing to watch with FMS is the collective...in the setup page its called something else...like 'wobe' or some other silly name...you can get fooled into thinking that the collective doesnt exist....it does. I used FMS for a long long time...its not a bad sim...and better than nothing at all. You will like RFlight G3.5...I have used this before. Rob |
