How to hook up FMS with radio using the Mic port? Hi there, having some problems with seting up FMS...I got it free with my MiniPredator Heli but dont need it...I have lent it out along with the controller that came with the Heli. The lead connects to the PC via the Mic port...standard item with many PC's. The instructions call for a recording to be made of the controller...this we duly did but appear to have nothing working as such...we can go to the configure page and there is no response. Do we have to have the crystal installed to make it work? I dont think we do have to do this. Do we have to make the recording of the signal first then load the FMS program? How are the two matched together? the instructions how to record the signal...and then it says...start FMS...select analogue...go fly. I used FMS quite some time ago...but used a spare lead and driver on a disk...worked well. Please write and explain step by step...I know there are better sims out there...but my mates PC is not cutting edge as such...and FMS is not a bad sim really...sure shaped my flying progress. Thanks in advance ![]() Rob

Re: How to hook up FMS with radio using the Mic port? Rob I was just given FMS and had a few problems loading it myself (compatabiliy with windows vista) which I've solved, but I think I can answer 2 of your questions from what I've learned from other forums, 1, you can load the program before initializing the signal and 2,no, you dont need the crystal in your transmitter (from what I've learned it extends your battery life if you remove it). FMS has its own forum which is where I learned this from, hope this helps. Robb

Re: How to hook up FMS with radio using the Mic port? Hi there, well we almost got it working...FMS is fine itself...and we are getting a signal but its very erratic...seems the radio connection itself is to blame...cheap shite chinese rubbish I'm afraid. Thanks for your help. Rob
