transmitter question for simulator

hello all im new to the forum. i have a few questions. Im looking at the Realflight g3 and 3.5 is there a large difference between the two? I also have a transmitter it is a 6 channel futaba conquest number fp-t6nfk and there is a 6 pin socket on the back. There are also 2 switches labeled "Elevator D/R" and "Aileron D/R" what do these do? are the adaptor plugs easily purchased to hook up to the usb for this? this transmitter on the left stick collective control does not return to center, i think it is more geared towards a plane. the yaw control returns to center. Is this a typical thing to have on a helicopter transmitter? should i even bother with this transmitter? I have also a Futaba Conquest FP-t4nfb 4 channel transmitter. should i use this isntead? thankyou
Dustin

Re: transmitter question for simulator

anyone??? the main thing im curious about is the vertical movement on the left stick. should this return to center on its own or return to the bottom on its own or just not move at all on its own? thanks

Re: transmitter question for simulator

hello, if you go to you tube and type in r/c heli controls i think you will get a better understanding and it will show you exactly how it should work. they may even have the tx you own on there as a demo to show you. as for the left stick control it should stay where you put it or where you leave it as this is youre throttle control. if this returned to bottom or to center youre heli would plunge to the ground if you slipped and let the stick go. the usb cables for the sims are fairly inexpensive if you do your research and find the best one for the best price. i have seen them from 9.99 up to 60.00 so it just depends on where you look.
