Re: XTR & JR X2610 setting for beginner

Hello,

Do you have the instructions for the use of your radio?
The reason I ask is if I can find a basic guide to your radio I can help you as much as you need.

Do you know how to set your radio up for helicopter use?
If you can do this I can talk you through the simulator settings so that you end up with a nice flying model that is close to the real thing.

Can you plug the radio in and get the simulator to go to channel settings?

Re: XTR & JR X2610 setting for beginner

Hi..Thanks Daz
I have the instruction manual /could be found in http://www.modelflight.com.au/rc_mod...rc_control.htm

I'm using Heli's default setting & it's work... all 6 channel. Trying to hover t-rex 450-xl but it's very agressive... and feel very difficult to control.

transmitter settingmode 2)
Thro travel = H:100% L:100%
Aile travel = L:100% R:100%
Elev travel = D:100% U:100%
Rudd travel= L:100% R:100%
Gear travel= +:100% -:100% (Right switch)
Dual Rate = individual
Curve = all Linear

oohh.. Crash is always..

reduce your ele and ail in dual rate to 80% and about 20%-25% expo that will calm it down a bit

Re: XTR & JR X2610 setting for beginner

I'm using mCCPM (individual)/ NORM setting on the radio.
my plan is to buy T-rex 450S electric, is it mCCPM or eCCPM or depend on the user setting?...

Post Re: XTR & JR X2610 setting for beginner

where to begin lets start with dual rate , access the dual rate and assign it to a switch , I use the eleron switch , my left hand has much more freedom when flying then the right , you want ele and ail on the same switch , this feature lets you limit the servo movement , so when you panic , and start jacking the sticks , the heli wont flip on its back , your running 100%travel right now , I'll asume your getting + or - 12 degrees of pitch , enter the dual rate , should show 100% for ele and ail , reduce to about 70% for both ele and ail , the second position should be 100% for both thats fine , next set the expo , this tames the stick so its a little sluggish in the middle but comes to life near the edges , with mCCPM you can run 40% to 50% for hovering , and 20% to 25% for 3FC flight , with eCCPM flight you shouldn't go over 25% for hovering , make sure when you set the pitch curve for normal flight start with more negative pitch , -4 or -5 degrees , the reason being if you get caught in a breeze and your low pitch is the normal recomended pitch of -1 degree you wont be able to bring the heli down , it will just float on the wind the T-Rex comes in a wide range of choices , you can start with a mCCPM frame , then change the top half of the frame to eCCPM , my 450 is Dragonus II , it has a true Belle Hiller rotor head design which makes it more stable , smoother , and more responsive than the T-Rex , but I can only get parts on-line , most hobby stores have T-Rex parts , the Ark X450 , which is now Helimax X450 is a nice heli , parts are easy to find , I have a X400 that I just flew its maiden voyage today , very smooth I realy like it , it was designed by Chin the designer of the T-Rex after he left Align , so its much improved over the T-Rex , T-Rex was cutting edge in its day , I feel its time has come to pass well I'am tired , I'll check with you tomarrow
