Re: XTR & JR X2610 setting for beginner

Thanks.. for detail explanation & I have set the radio as your suggestion,
my thumb always moves the gimbles to keep the heli steady hovering.. but heli still 'dancing'.
The heli move to the left side when gimble position at centre, is it means problem with physical setting? or it's happened only in simulator..

Wink Re: XTR & JR X2610 setting for beginner

you need to trim the heli , give it some right aileron trim to stop the left drift , all helis have a tendency to slide left , take note of the trim reading so that you can go into the sub-trim and make the correct adjustments , your radio probobly has a trim memory , but thats the easy way out , the correct way is sub-trim adjustments , make sure your throttle and pitch curves are correct,

normal throttle - 0% - 40% - 65% - 85% - 100%
normal pitch - -1 - / - +5 - / - +12

if you head speed is to low you will have a hard time keeping it stable , you should be at 2400 rpm head speed at 100% for now , which means at mid stick , 65% throttle you will have 1560 rpm head speed and 5 degrees pitch , your heli should be hovering , remember that these pitch settings are for no wind conditions , once you add wind to your sim your going to want to drop that low pitch to -3 to -5 degrees so the heli does'nt float on the wind

Question Re: XTR & JR X2610 setting for beginner

I am assuming your trying to fly a heli like the T-Rex , I have the Real Flight 3.5 sim , the basic head speed is 2400 rpm for normal and 3FC flight , and around 3100 rpm for 3D flight , you should have the ability to customise the heli your flying , look for the rotor speed , if its too low , change the motor to a higher kv , something around 3500kv , or check the battery , if the voltage is 9.6v , change to a 11.1v , on a 3500kv motor that would give you another 7000rpm from the motor , and depending on the pinion to main gear ratio , you could increase the head speed by as much as 700rpm , try to give me as much info as you can on the heli your trying to fly , make , model , motor kvs , battery , and main rotor blade length

Re: XTR & JR X2610 setting for beginner

that's would be a problem since I don't have Tachometer to check the rpm.
Now I have T-rex S with spec:
motor:Align 3550KV-430L
ESC: Align RCE-BL35X(governor mode)
Gyro: JR G410T
Servo: JR ES-375
Battery: Align 11.1V 22C, 2100mah
Transmitter: JR X2610/6210
Receiver: JR R770S (7ch)

Main Blade: Carbon rotor blade 325mm
Main rotor dia: 700mm
Tail rotor dia: 150mm
Main Pinion gear: 12T
Main drive gear: 150T
Autorotation tail drive gear: 106T
Tail drive gear: 25T

what do you think..?

Thumbs up Re: XTR & JR X2610 setting for beginner

I have some place to be this evening so I don't have time to chat , but later I will teach you how to calculate rotor speed , you seem to be off to a nice start , I'll have you flying in no time .
