Re: which simulator????

I f money is not an issue...and your PC is powerful enough...try 'Realflight G3' its comes with its own 'transmitter' and the leads etc.....just make sure your graphics card is strong enough.....its great sim.

I own a Twister Bell 47.....its great...flys well....but make sure you get spare blades...and buy the upgraded metal hub which is for the top rotor....the plastic one breaks if you hit something...and its a pain to fix....if it can get fixed at all.....what happens with the plastic version is the flybar holder snaps off....plus the little pegs that the blades rotate on snap off as well.

So.....Realflight G3
Spare blades for the bell 47
definately get the metal 'centre hub' (you can always use the original till it breaks)

Buy a couple of spare lower rotor hubs....I am thinking about replacing mine with a homemade one...if I can find a small metal lathe.

I love the Twister.....just be gentle with it and you will have tons of fun....I fly larger nitro models....but bought the Bell 47 for when I am at work...it was money well spent.

G3 here in the US, is $199.99 I think. Not sure about in the UK though.

Re: which simulator????

If you're in UK, it's cheaper to get Phoenix sim. Folks say that it outperforms Reflex XTR, and Reflex itself is much better than RealFlight when it comes to flying heli.

Re: which simulator????

Realflight G3 is about £140 with the dummy 'transmitter'

I dont know if you have a proper radio yet...if so what is it?

I have heard good things about Phoenix its the one I want to get....I have a radio set anyway.....if Phoenix is supplied with a 'radio' then go for that instead.

Try

www.revolutionmodels.co.uk its a good shop...quite good on prices and very quick at processing orders.
