Controls reverse at a distance I've been using G3 for 6 months and thought I would never understand how to fly a heli. I am now quite good at hovering and flying about, putting it down where I want it, and taking off from there, etc. But if I go out what looks like 100' or so, when I turn to come back, the heli dives into the ground. I've been trying to go out and back, and do a figure 8, but every time I turn it takes a severe dive and crashes. I try to compensate for it and I finally concluded that after going out a ways, the controls reverse. If it's diving left forward I give it right reverse. That just makes it worse. I've discovered the sticks work in the opposite direction at a distance out. So it's not me, for which I am very happy. I will contact RealFlight about this. Has any one else had this happen?

Re: Controls reverse at a distance My Boss has just got G3.....He is learning to fly too....I will ask Him if He has had any problem like you mentioned. Good to hear about your progress.....you will be glad of the training when flying a real model.....I can tell you. Rob

As you go into forward flight with helis pay attention to the heli's tail and use this as a reference. Now the good news is that the controls are reversed in your eyes as it flys back to you. Good rule to remember with airplanes and helis is to correct the attitude to the low wing or in you case helis rotor. In other words when the model flys toward you with a wing or rotor tilted toward your right hand you push the stick to the right. If the nose is toward the ground pull the stick back toward you or to the low point of helicopter. If the tail is is kicked toward your right hand follow the nose to correct. A good trick is to visualize the heli in different fight attitudes and what the heli will do with your stick inputs. Also keep in mind when flying a heli it is vey hard to tell if the model is flying to or away from you.
