Jr XP9303 hookup to a G3 sim

Hey guys, first post ever. Just got back into heli's after a 20 year absence. Back then, there were no gyro's and I was the only one within a 100 miles to fly heli's so I gave up.

Anyway, I've got a G3 sim and would like to link my JR radio to it. The radio's instruction book is of little or no help. Anybody out there who has done this?

I Just Got My Transmitter To-day Jr Xp1803-h And So Far I've Found That The Rf G-3 Interface Controller Will Only Except Inputs From A Transmitter In Its Fm Mode,hope This Helps

Well I got it to work...somewhat. I found that the opening on the back of the interlink was not aligned with the socket, thus not allowing the plug to completely seat. Once I fixed that, it worked. But........only the sticks work. The throttle hold when activated, throws in a lot of negative pitch instead of cutting the throttle and the flight modes are inactive. I guess it's time to read the manual. I have gone into the configuration but it didn't help.

I just hooked up my 9303 receiver to G3 last night. (It took me a while to figure out)

Here's what I could come up with from the book and from trial and error:

First go into your root menu on your controller: i.e. hold the enter button while turning on the controller. You need to set up a different model. The trick here is that it needs to be an airplane model, not a heli, and make sure that it is in FM mode, or PPM mode, same thing. I named mine PCSIM, you can name it what you want. It has to be set up as an airplane or it won't work!!!(It's something to do with how the other box sends/receives signals)

Next you want to start G3 without the cable connected to anything. Then connect the cable to the back of the receiver that came with the software, then to your controller. As soon as you connect the cable to the back of YOUR receiver, the screen on YOUR receiver should come on. At this point you need to make sure the "airplane" that you named is the one showing.

Then go to Controller at the top of the page in G3. See if your controller is listed. Select it and calibrate it.(All from the same drop down menu) You will almost certainly have to go in and use the Channel Mapping as well to reverse control inputs, etc. DO NOT reverse the servos in the controller. Just do it in Channel Mapping within the software.

You should be there. Hope this helped. Oh, one more thing, if you have a JR XP9303, the little wheels on the top/side of the controller are trims of some sort for the throttle/collective. You may have to play with those a little.

For the JR radios, are yall using the 3.5mono (headphone) jack to serial port, or to usb?
