simulator help

I bought a ready to fly esky honeybee, the transmitter has a spot in the back of it to hook the trans up to a computer simulator. ok, i dont have the money to buy a simulator so i want to download that free FMS, now, i need to know what cable to buy to hook up the trans to my computer and do i need to download anything else to make FMS work with my transmitter? as i said, i will be using the transmitter and not a joystick.
thanks!

Re: simulator help

Which cable works with your transmitter depends on the model of your transmitter. Is your helie a Fixed Pitch or a Collective Pitch?

The transmitter sold with FP model is a regular 4-ch TX, which can be used with anu general purpose interfaces. If you've got a CP helie, your transmitter is "Channels Six" CCPM, which requires a special CCPM "un-mixing" interface sold by milehighwings.com:

which works with your transmitter and with all non-copyprotected simulators. It's USB and works in all Windows versions, including XP, as well as in MacOS X.

I hope you'll find this info helpful,
Boris
