| too advanced? i bought real flight G3 about a month ago. im a mechanic and do not really know a whole lot about computers (just enough to use them regularly). i thought i could just maybe buy a good vid card and install it into my computer at home. i had a friend of mine help me out with finding products on newegg.com that would run G3 full blown. but it would cost close to $700 just for the internal guts of the tower, not even the case, monitor, mouse, keyboard, nothing. so instead of buying a computer that could possibly launch a shuttle for NASA. i decided to sell my G3 and just try and fly the heli when i do end up getting it.
i actually took G3 to my local computer store and the guy let me install it on one of his computers that he was trying to sell me (he said it would run the program no problem) he was surprised when it froze up when i started to try to fly a heli. he acted as if it were no problem and added a little ram to it or something.............it worked a little longer but still froze. i just dont understand why they would make a program that was that advanced. i dont want to spend that much money on something and not be able to use it to its full potential. when i did play it a little at the computer store the graphics and reality of the heli was awsome. but i cant dump $700 into a computer and still have to spend $300 or more for the rest of the computer. buy then i could have a freakin raptor 50 with an awsome radio system on it. so if anyone wants G3 it will be on ebay for a little cheaper than $200. hasnet even been played no more than 3 min. it was put back in the box after i unhooked it at the store and has been in the box ever since. so wish me luck on learning to fly with the real thing. i know its going to be hard and i WILL spend a little more money on replacment parts but it will be fun. thanks for your time.
