| I've got a Honey Bee helicopter and need help with controller on simulator Ok, i've bought a Honey Bee helicopter but it didn't come with the CD for the simulator, only the computer cable. Now, I do have a simulator (FMS) but the controller (FM_PPM) doesn't seem to work.... Is it because I need batteries in the controller when using it on a simulator? Or do I need another cable going to the mains? Or do I need to download a special simulator for it? It would be helpfull if you could run me through how to set it up, thanks. |

| Re: I've got a Honey Bee helicopter and need help with controller on simulator If I am correct you need a program called PPJoy. you can get it here: http://www.geocities.com/deonvdw/Docs/PPJoyMain.htm make sure that it is running while the simulator is running. That site explains all the basics about PPJoy. Good Luck ![]() |

| Your TX needs to be powered up for ppjoy to read the input stream.PPjoy needs to be running and minimized while using FMS-you also need to configure the controls in FMS.I don't know about Honeybee, but Dragonfly uses Zhen Hua protocol in PPjoy.

| Re: I've got a Honey Bee helicopter and need help with controller on simulator E-Sky transmitters have never implemented Zhen Hua protocol, only 4ch Walkera TXs do, but that's a totally different ball of wax. ![]() Which cable works with your transmitter depends on the model of your transmitter. Is your helie a Fixed Pitch or a Collective Pitch? The transmitter for FP model is a regular 4-ch TX, which can be used with any general purpose interfaces. If you've got a CP helie, your transmitter is "Channels Six" CCPM, which requires a special CCPM "un-mixing" interface sold by milehighwings.com: http://www.milehighwings.com/usb_cables.htm which works with your transmitter and with all non-copyprotected simulators. It's USB and works in all Windows versions, including XP, as well as in MacOS X. I hope you'll find this info helpful, Boris |
