starting shuttle zx

just trying to get into helis and have a shuttle zx which starts(or should do via belt) however it isnt starting nor trying to. i have tried a new heat plug and pretty sure fuel is getting there. can any one explain to a complete novice how to reset and start again. Iam aware the rotors turn anti clockwise and have tried changing direction of starter (starting from right side when viewed from above) which direction should starer turn.

sorry its been a while
ive managed to get it started now and again however it is very spluttery.
when i raise throttle it splutters and dies, i have read other threads re mixtures and needle settings but none seem to be for begiiner,
if you dont mind can you explian how to start from scratch with mixture & needle valve... i take it as the needle valve is the larger 'clicky' one on the right side (looking down) and the mixture is the small screwdriver one within throttle lever ?

Hi,With the large clicky thing you could start with one and a half turns out from being fully closed.
When you pinch the fuel pipe while it is running the revs should increase slightly after a few seconds then the engine should stop.
Please keep a good hold on the blades.Better still take the blades off.
Do not run the heli with blades off if you are going to rev it as the engine needs to be loaded to work properly.
