Angry Shuttle ZX

Need some help...

I am trying to put an OS 32 into a shuttle ZX and the engine mount does not match up with the pre-drilled mounting holes. It is all the way up into the clutch, any thoughts?

Thanks

I know this is probably going to sound silly, BUT I had the same sort of problem only to find out that I had fitted the engine to the mount and the mount was upside down.....

Are you sure that this is not the problem here.

Regards
Darren,

Darren is right

Darren is right. Try checking your engine mounting. Reverse it and see if this will solve the problem.

Hi,I have just replaced my mount with a quick u.k. version.
But the shape is the same see here,

I know yours is an O.S but the mount im sure is the same.
If the mount is standard and the frame is standard i can't see why it will not fit.Are the holes on the mount the same measurement apart as the frame.Or you could compare the holes by holding the mount next to the frame but from the outside.
Try holding the assembly (engine with mount attatched)by the side of the frame but at the same position as if it was inside the frame and imagine it fitting inside the frame.Do the holes look in the right place.

I agree with the others you may have to look at the fitting of the mount to the engine.
I like to know if you solve the problem.
Good luck,Brian.

Thanks for the advice, I tried flipping it without success. I bought it on ebay and was wondering if the sideframes were of on older shuttle since the box appeared opened and they were not in bags. Who knows. I made an "adjustment" to make the engine mount fit.
