rebuild kit for engines

I bought a used 36 motor off e-bay for cheap. I am going to use it as my backup motor. I want to go through the motor and make sure its ok. I just wanted to see if there are rebuild kits made for these motors already.

Re: rebuild kit for engines

As long as you know the make of the motor then ordering a new cylinder and piston with crank should do the engine lovely. You can buy these from good engine suppliers, Here is one place that you could contact for parts in the UK. They do ship worldwide.

Hope this helps.

Re: rebuild kit for engines

Why bother buying a rebuild kit? I just bought a brand new, never started .28 engine (albeit for a buggy) for £60. The engine is a replacement for one that blew up and needs a new crank, piston and sleeve that costs over £110 - it's a 'no brainer'.
