| Needle settings Messing with engine tuning on my Thunder tiger 39 h engine at the moment (the heli is a raptor 30 v2) and would like to read what needle settings other pilots are using.I have the high speed needle at two and a half full turns from closed and the low speed at three full turns from closed.New to this nitro game so open to suggestions.Thanks. |

| Re: Needle settings Hi, The usual setting for the low speed needle is about 1 1/2 turns your high speed is ok. you may find that when it is running you canlean the High speed needle and the revs should increase as you do. Dont go too far tho, you can damage the engine if you lean it too much. If you find that you are getting a lot of spluttering in the idle then you can adjust the low speed needle but only move it 1/10th each adjustment and adjust it when it is stopped. You can try asking this sight for advice, they know all there is to know about motors. I can not promise that they can help but they do know there stuff.
