I can't turn off the engine I have checked everything, i mean: the throttle, the carburetor is closing completly, the throttle cut, and everything is working ok. But after i land my Raptor i can't swich off the engine.I turn on the throttle cut and the engine is still working at idle until the fuel tank is completly empty. The only ways to turn it off is to pinch the fuel line and hold it there or to block the exhaust pipe with my finger. In the first way i will hurt my self if i am not holding the blades, and on the other way i have burned my finger so many times. Is there someone that can help me with this problem? Thank you.

Re: I can't turn off the engine Hi: Sound as if you have an air leak check back plate for lose screws or broken gasket or front bearing seal and O ring seal under carberator because if this engine was in this heli from the start and it hasn't been removed the throttle valve should be in the same place. I had the idle screw work its way in on an engine because of a weak spring though. Hope this helps. Last edited by deanmax : 12-04-2006 at 11:49 PM. Reason: rewording paragraph

Re: I can't turn off the engine Hi: here is one that happen last weekend. Started up my heli set in on the ground and lift off at half throttle went forward flight and it went rich mix landed and though now thats funny been flying this for over a year with no change in high speed needle. So turn in the needle a couple of clicks and started in a forward flight again and you could hear the engine going lean beside having to add more throttle to keep it up. I couldn't figure it out at one click oneway and one click the other. Finally clean carb nothing change still doing the samething now I'm losing it when I though change glo plug did everything else. The day is gone so the next morning went out and it works fine now, a glo plug did it to me and now I'm ready for it to happen again. But it won't, not until I forget my weekend of grimlins in the glo plug.

Re: I can't turn off the engine Hi, this is an old post, but I found something in my TT.91Pro, I had the same problem, it was really hard to turn off the engine even with the carburator totally closed, I knew as said on this thread that I should have an air leak, Ok, I found the air leak and is at the roll in front of the engine where the fan goes, if you blow air thru the fuel line with the carburator closed you can hear easily the leak, I changed the washer that comes with the engine with a little wider one, when you tight the fan it will cover this roll in some part and it will reduce the leak, so the engine can be turned off easily.
