O.S. .46 FX-H ringed

I want to break in my new os 46 fx-h, but my local hobby store only has fuel with 18 percent oil, and O S recomends Fuel with 20% (minimum) lubricant content and 5%-15% Nitromethane. The guy at the store said there fuel is fine, but imm not too sure he is right, and I dont wanta burn it up. Does anyone know where i can buy this fuel online, or could I add more oil too the fuel? If so, what kinda oil should i use?

Re: O.S. .46 FX-H ringed

I normally use 15 or 20% nitro. mine is 18 % synthetic and Ive never had a problem breaking in an engine. Always broke in very rich and NEVER run one lean. That's just me. Wildcat or Cool power most of the time. Buy local.

Well they tell me that the engine needs the extra oil to reduce heat and stop preignition. So im going to add some klotz oil to my cool power, and hopefully that will work.

Re: O.S. .46 FX-H ringed

try adusting you needle for more fuel that is the manufacture`s recommendations they say that if your engine is too lean then the breaking in is wrong...but a 20/20 nitro oil is good...I would stick to the manufacture`s recommendations which can be found on line and the hobby store. they should know also...I would say that a 15% is good for a gallon but not at high rev`s

after break in for cooler purposes higher nitro content is the way to go its the needle adjustments that get fuel oil to you engine meaning dont run it to lean for break in

happy flights guys
