RV-1 Governor Install

Just did an install on my Nexus 30 of a Futaba GV-1 governor. I did a write up at my site about it. If you want to read it, this is the link:

Hi JHP
Goog write up, likewise I drilled straight through the fan and filled with epoxy. I have three of them the latest one will go onto the Bell 47G gasser. I have one heli switched and one on the throttle.
The one on throttle control as you have described took some fiddling with the pitch/thro curves, however if you use switched control do not wire out (as you can) the low throttle safety off.

As an asside all my heli's are set up with throtle hold as an extra safety at startup as well as for auto rotation practice. Looking forward to your experience flying with it.

Happy landings

Throttle hold is my best friend. It's the best safety I've got. When adjusting blade tracking or something just kick it on and no matter what the stick does you're safe.

In about a week or so after I get some more fuel I'll post more on how I fiddled with the pitch and curves.

The wife commented yesterday that I've been flying an awful lot lately and she wants me to stop for a while! Geez, can't have a hobby any more!

Do you still fly the nexus? if so, What rate of pitch are you getting? The reason I ask is because I have got -10+4+10
I achieved this through the carefull study of the machanics and saw a simple mod to it would give me extra pitch. I didn't realise I was going to get as much as this.
My heli now flies inverted comfortably.

It's the only flying one I have right now. I don't do any aerobatics and no inverted flight yet.

If you want to share the mod for the blades post it in the Blades area of the workshop. I'm sure lots of folks would like to know how to get negative 10 out of a nexus!
