I have an OS 32....any engine needs some smoke and bits of oil coming out....too lean will kill the engine for sure,.....the OS will run even if rich...its worth tinkering and getting it right.

Air filters are only needed if its really dusty....otherwise they can clog with dust and oil....its a catch 22....if you are flying from grass I wouldnt worry too much.....but anywhere gritty then I would fit something.
