| Bell 212/210 body build Inspired by Lardfly's Bell Jet Ranger build I have decided to take the plunge.
I started the other day looking for pics. I found some very nice ones of the Bell 212, 412 and 210. Also the military version the UH-1N. I contacted Bell directly too. They were of no help really, but their site had some nice PDF files on it that shows me most every thing I am going to need to make the body up.
SO... My question to all of you is.... how does this scale look? Lardfly your input would be most useful here because you have already done this.
I centered my main shaft over the spot on the plans where Bell puts their main shaft. That placed my tail rotor exactly where the tail boom ends and the fin begins. So all that being true, my blades seem a bit short compared to the huey's. Hueys seem to have rather long blades. That being said, I wonder if my scale is off.
As I sit here and think about this, I wonder if my stock motor could even lift this thing ha ha ha !!!!!!
*EDIT* forgot the pics
Mike
another question... ha ha... any one have any thoughts on a high mount tail rotor? the BCP's tail boom is pretty stiff but moving the rotor up 3 inches might cause it to twist...
Comments welcome
