| Morley Hughes 300 Fuel tank upgrade Hi i am thinking of installing a header tank to my heli as i have read that it helps with fuel foaming problems. Can anyone tell me the pipe configuration needed and what the exact purpose of the header tank is? My fuel tank has an inlet with a clunk fitted and two vents at the top. Do i have to plug one vent off? I'm confused. Also where is the best place to install it. Above ,below??? Any help will be gratefully accepted Regards Trebor |

| header tank the theory of the header tank is to have a tank with only fuel and no air thus no foam. so, you connect the fill hose of the HT to the clunk of your main tank and the clunk of the HT to your carb. so, when the mufflers presure blows into the MT it will keep the HT full with no air only fuel and no foam thusly your engine wont quit from an air bubble while your upside down. also you should mount it at a level in relation to your carb_fuel feed line as is the MT. ie the fuel feed line should be (on mine anyway) at the middle of the carb, height wise. the 2nd fitting on your HT to to fill it from remember to put a line lock on your carb. line or you will flood your engine. |
