blade cp bell-hiller upgrade

is the bell-hiller a good idea for ppl learning to hover or does the increased responsiveness make it harder for noobs?

Re: blade cp bell-hiller upgrade

I can only tell you this, I just got my Cp around one month ago and I had trouble hovering it and oneday I talked to someone about the upgrade and I just went out and bought it. I can now hover much easier than before and now I am working on forward flight. Just make sure you get some help installing it because it is possible to assemble it wrong and you don't want that to happen. I will also say this, the Cp is much more responsive to your imputs which means very little movement in the controls. I think because of this touchy movement it stoped me from over correcting the cp. I like the upgrade, who knows you may too.
Good Luck.......Spirit In The Sky.....

To upgrade or not upgrade!!! That is a guestion with a zillion answers. I have the parts but haven't done it yet. As mentioned above I think, and others have said it too, the crisp response can be a real advantage as it elminates the lag that is present with the stock setup. The downside is that if you still have a tendancy to overcontrol things are going to get wild real fast.

I'm a newbie with the CP, but finally got to where I can hover for a minute or so at a time and usually land in one piec. Thinking I will install the Bell upgrade now since I have a little damage to fix anyway.

Re: blade cp bell-hiller upgrade

Hello there, I haven't mastered a hover yet but after a minor blade strike caused some damage I ordered the bell-hiller too. I figured it would standup better to the newbie as well as the rest of the nenefits. It just arrived and I was going to attempt my install alone until reading your post. What help did you find for installing this? I may give these instructions a try but having done this I'd like your opinion of this. This is looks like it's only for the swatch plate where I have the whole head and tail to do. http://www.bladecprepair.com/man_bh_upgrade.html
Thanks again for and advice.

Ok, I'm attempting to install a new bell-hiller CNC head and when I remove my main shaft (part #050) there isn't any way to connect this to the new b-h head. Do they make a split shaft for this since the bell-hiller one is threaded on the end? or am I suppose to remove all the parts from this preassembled bell-hiller and put them on my stock main shaft?
