Muffler Extension Mod

Has anyone tried extending the muffler exhaust back along the tail to keep the smoke away from the front?

I want to use Nitro heli to save costs but still attach a camera to the front. I am worried about all the nitro smoke clouding up pictures.

Problems:
Oil could build up in the muffler with an extended exhaust port
Smoke may still swirl around the canopy even with the extention
Extra back pressure would hurt performance
Extra back pressure could shorten the life of the motor(?)

Otherwise i have to spend 2X the money and go with Gas, which has less smoke (I hear)
