Hello all
I want to get more flight time out of my heli, it is stock with a 11.1 1600 mah 3cell lipo I get 10 - 12 minutes of mellow flying.
I have read if you upgrade to brushless you get more flight time?
I was looking on e-bay is this motor & speed control anygood
http://cgi.ebay.com/RC-Smart-4890-Br...QQcmdZViewItem
Also is this battery anygood? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...N_Stores_ITand if not can someone recomend a motor, speed control & battery.
make model etc.and were to get them I checked out hobby people its about 140.00 for the motor and speed control and another 70.00 for a 3 cell 11.1 1600 mah batt. I sometimes think they arnt the best place to shop

i sense ur getting fed up.
you seem to be hovering and flying grand so ur only prob is good/bad motors.
have u check with www.helihobby.com or www.ehirobo.com or www.helidirect.com they should have some good motors for you.

dude ..two flights and the motor fell apart!!if i was you i would be seeking some kind of refund or replacement..brushless motors dont just fall apart so it was probably faulty to start with...

Re: shogun motor and batt mod. ??

I talked to the guy I bought it from he said no warranty but he will sell me another motor..
I declined and went to hobby people and spent 70.00 for a new one thats backed up with a warranty...
Its in the heli and sounds pretty good but I am afraid to fly it...

I'm running a 2100 Lipo 3 cell in my shogun, the battery has to sit on it's side, not flat, but it fits perfectly. I'm using the blue eflite brushless in mine and it all works really well.
My buddy steve owns Awesome Hobbies (707-433-4888), and he got me set up and hovering with the proper settings in my computer radio. He carries the Shogun and support parts.
MY purchase and entry into helis was seamless and smooth due to his help.
I REALLY think that most of the difference between a piece of crap and a nice chopper is setup and knowledge.
