| Nexus 30Stype mods Hi all, This discribes and also shows by photo's a mod that I have done to my Nexus that now allows it to fly inverted. You will have to strip out the main mast for this but if you want the extra pitch you will find this worth it. The part you require is the pitch rod guide (H-3323). This is a plastic part and is easily worked on. With the part in question identified put a mark on it at the bottom of the mast stopper(H-3324). This can be done with a pencil, Be sure to mark all the way round the pitch rod guide. Remove The mast stopper and withdraw the pitch rod guide. (You will need to take the main mast out for this). You should now have just the pitch rod guide, Cut the end of the pitch rod guide to the edge of the mark you placed with the pencil,(NOT ON OR PAST) You can tidy it up with fine wet and dry paper. Thats it for this section, put it back together. You will have to shorten your Main rotor blade linkage rods by about 6 turns and you may haveto turn your hov pitch on the radio up but you will now easily acheive -10+2/4+10 or more. Be warned though the Heli will throw itself into the ground if you pull down on the throttle stick to much. Last edited by Daz(DJLFlapper) : 10-25-2005 at 06:15 PM. |

| Re: Nexus 30Stype mods I have the same model and used bearings out of a raptor colective control arm to replace the plastic bush,s in the elevator lever also bearinged the fly bar where it pass,s through the see saw. If only i could get the slop out of the swash plate and colective sliders. Cheers. Evilone |

| Re: Nexus 30Stype mods I have upgraded the swashplate and thus far have not got any slop to worry about In fact my nexus is ball raced throughout now and is far from standard. The mods that I have made allow it to fly so that most people that see it dont beleive its a Nexus. Having said this I would not recommend this heli to anyone as a beginner. It does require a lot of knowledge to set it up correctly. If I had the knowledge that I have now back at the beginning. I would have run a mile. Still at least now when I fly it, It makes me smile. You can see a pic of mine in the picture Threads. funny how we crave for better things each step of the way. Anyway Happy flying ![]()
