Angry first flight

my first flight.

I got my raptor 30 about 2 years ago, 98 or 99, cant remember. i had been flying planes for a year and was tired of it. i got a pilot from the old rcoline irc network who lived near me to check fly it, it worked great so the next day out i went to the field to learn to hover. at first i was staying a 8-10 foot circle but gradually it was moving away from me, i would set it down, pick it up and carry it back to where i had started. after a tank of gas, i figured i would try to fly it back (save some time and all, besides, all the old plank fliers were watching me). I managed to get it moving backwards about 2 feet off the ground but when it got back to where i wanted it, when i tried to stop it, i overcorrected and it took off across the field into some bean vines. one of the training pods got stuck in the vines and the heli flipped over. blades were cracked, tailboom was chopped into 3 pieces, flybar, main shaft, boom supports and the tail rotor casing were all destroyed. I fixed it but i didnt fly it again until august 2002(after that i had to go to school.)
thats my first flight, 1 tank of gas and then BOOM! THUD! right in front of all the old plane people.

First flights are always the hardest. I spent the first few tanks "following" the helicopter any where it wanted to go until I learned to fly it.

Crashes are a fact. Read all the tips you can here and fly as often as possible!
