My new Dragonfly

I have the new dragon fly with no rudder..just 2 blades over head. I have a problem after having a light crash. It wont leave the ground at full throttle. It just spins really fast. Another thing is that it spins constantly to the right. I hope this problem is small. Any suggestions would be most greatfull...so I can have a fun weekend

I am sorry to have to say that I am unable to help you here. If you have a diagram of your heli then you should check that all is set correctly in place and that nothing else is bent.
I would if I could not find the cause of your problems take it to the shop nearest you so that they can give it a once over. hopfully if they find the cause of your problem then they will help you get it sorted. Then take you through what they find to help you increase your knowledge and ability to sort it if you should do this again.

Thanks for your comment. I took it to the nearest hobby town. The fellow there had no experiance with this dragonfly. He took it apart and put it back together not knowing what exactly he fixed, but it took off. I was pleased to hear this and took it back to my home for a test flight. It was taking off, but wasn't staying balanced, so I was adjusting my trim to get it level. Right when I thought I had it pinned...it started to do the same thing again . I'm just going to buy my some tools and take it apart myself and hope that I didnt get a bogus mod.

Re: My new Dragonfly

I too purchased a Dagonfly recently. Mine is a 22A, and has not flown for 1 minute. If I have not had tail drive problems( broken carbon shaft, stripped main gear, servo not working in 1 direction). I've had a problem with the pin breaking that holds the main rotor assembly to the main shaft. If yours seems like it is working good, but just not getting off the ground, I'd check the pin. As for my self, I am going to pick up a raptor 30, and try something of better quality.Good luck

Re: My new Dragonfly

I haven't bother'd taking mine apart yet. I was wondering if you could help me to some links that would teach me on how to take it apart myself. I tried finding a better manual then what was giving to me, had a tuff time. Any links reguarding the dragonfly would be most helpfull thanks.

Re: My new Dragonfly

I'm pretty much ready to throw mine away and count the $$ spent as a lesson about buying cheap stuff. If it would help you. I can try to take some photos of the area I mentioned and send them to your email, as well as other areas if you need. If your copter sounds like everything is spinning fast enough to lift off but isn't, I'd bet you broke the pin in the body of the main rotor assembly(I'm sure that is not the correct term, but you should be able to see it.) It would affect not only the pitch of your rotors, but the rotor speed itself by not spinning with the main shaft.
Let me know of the areas you would like photo'd and described.
Jerry
