| Blade 400 first hover problem? Well I've spent countless hours on Phoenix flight sim, can fly most helis quite nicely with the odd crash for good measure. So today I went into my studio & cleared a 10ft x 10ft space. Plopped Mr.Heli in the centre, started him up & had to hold right rudder as expected, he lifted off & I held him in the groundwash for a few moments (hands shaking like a B***H) & then I noticed that the tail is wagging quite a bit, hunting even....is the gyro gain to high do you think or should I up it? Any advice appreciated, and before I forget, what a head rush ![]() Regards Ross |

| Re: Blade 400 first hover problem? If the tail is hunting then turn the gain down, the gain is the sensitivity in other words...turn it down till the tail stops wagging. Take it real easy when flying for real...get good on the sim...but back off in real flying. Sim helis are setup to fly good....reality is a bit more complex as you are aware. Use training legs on the heli...even forward flight it pays to use these things....just take it easy and stop flying when the battery starts losing power...abuse the battery and it wont last long...abuse it enough and it can turn nasty...be careful of LiPo's...they are a great product but can burn a house down if abused. | Re: Blade 400 first hover problem? Thanks for the info Rob, yes I am always careful of li-po's, the scare the crap out of me, makes me wonder how such things ever got BSI approval in the UK? I will turn the gyro down & have another go later today. On a different note, how's life down in the south atlantic, haven't been there since May 1982! Regards Ross |

| Re: Blade 400 first hover problem? Got rid of the 400, the servos are crap & gyro sucks like a pig, so bought a mini titan & here's the difference:- http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ua63baNLlGE Regards Ross |
