Where are the vibes? is the tail fin or the horizontal stabilser vibrating...are the fins a blur in other words...or is the fuel foaming? assuming its a nitro engine.

Please give as many details as possible.

Re: balanceing done still a vibration ??????

if i put this in the wrong form sorry bout that im still kinda new to this service..
The problem when i when thru the balanceing procedure on my falcon 40 a fixed pitch electric i found some things there were obviously off. but it still has a vibration on spin up seems to be in the rotor head.. do you have anything you recomend to try. i really hate to rip it all back apart with no clue why. i found first off that the main blades were off so i got that fixed .. the tail rotor was off slightly but not much.. there is one thing that could maybe be part of it when i did the fly bar i noticed that one side seemed to be slightly heavier instead of useing tape i moved the silver weight inward to off set the offending blade is that something that could have caused all the vibration .... because the weight is right but the positions of the weight is not in the same place? should i take it back down match the position of the weight the use tape to off set the extra weight on one side ?

Re: balanceing done still a vibration ??????

Ahhh

the weights need to be the same distance apart from the rotor hub...you will get severe vibes if this is not the case.

Remove the blades....bolt together and make sure they are straightened out....and find something to balance the bolt on...the blades and apparatus should look like a seesaw

the lighter end will stick up...if the blades hang equal....then dont worry too much.

the lighter blade will need a bit of tape...stick it on the far end..the tip...place a bit of tape loose...and observe how the blades look...if the tape is a bit heavy...carefully snip a bit off...observe the blade...repeat till the blades hang level.

by the way...both blades can hang with both trailing edges DOWN...makes life easier.

put the blades back on...make sure the weights on the flybar are equal distance...and try her out.

Thumbs down Re: balanceing done still a vibration ??????

well seems the weights are a mute point.. I was manuvering it on the edge of lifting off. when a main blade caught something. while spun up and burned up a channel on the combo speed controler, gyro , radio .. another forty dollars but not so bad I made a lot of progress on practice manuvering.. well time to start another 2 week wait but not so bad I can finish up balanceing that fly bar again..

one more thing before I go you guys are a great source of advise I can't tell you how much help you guys are thanks again

Re: balanceing done still a vibration ??????

Hiya,

When are you seeing this vibration and how much. The reason I ask is that most helis ususally have a harmonic vibration during spin up and spin down, this normally goes away when things get up to flying speed. Its very difficult to tune out all vibration from a heli because there are so many fast moving parts of different wieghts so they all have different resonant frequencies.

Take Care... Azzy
