My walkera 22e turned over I'm a complete newbie with RC helis and I got my walkera 22e yesterday. After spending a couple of hours trying to get the simulator cable to work with the remote I started looking at the servos and levers since I "knew" that the 22e is almost ready to fly. After following a 22e bible on how to setup the chopper for the first takeoff I felt I wanted to atleast see the rotors spin up. I wasn't going to attemp to fly. Then I discoverded I have absolutely no idea on how to start, and even worse, how to stop the darn thing! I hooked up the battery on the chopper, turned on the remote and nothing happended. I slowly gave it some throttle and nothing happened. So I put the remote down and suddenly it spun up when I was approaching it (in my computer room). I instantly turned off the remote when I saw what powers that were in rotation and started worrying on how to get it to stop! While I sat there it started tilting to one side and I couldn't do anything about it It tilted to the left until the rotors started scratching my wood floor and after a couple of seconds it fell on the side hammering my wood floor and taking of like a "%#&". I managed to hold it down and remove the battery. It really bothers me that I've never seen ANYWHERE how to start or stop the heli. And now I crashed it (and seriously abused my floor) without even trying to fly only because of that I didn't know how to start/stop it ![]()

| Re: My walkera 22e turned over on some helys when you first switch on and plug in the battery youve got to give it a few seconds for the transmitter and hely to inishulize (sorry about my spelling) then u can put up the throttle always switch on ur transmitter b4 u plug in ur battery this is so the tx(transmitter) is in control of the hely now i dont now whether the 22 is a 3d hely like 60# or trex etc if it is there should be a switch saying flight mode or somthin familer now if it switched to 3d mode the motor will spin even if the the throttle stick is down ive done it a few times ive nocked it on once as i was about to pick the hely up quite scarey well i hope this helps ![]()

Re: My walkera 22e turned over ah ok. Thanx for the reply. I did actually turn on the transmitter after I connected the battery to the chopper. Maybe that was the problem, because I felt like the chopper did what it wanted and I had no control over it. Next time I'll bolt it down into a big piece of wood so I can atleast start it properly ![]()

Re: My walkera 22e turned over The rotor head was broken so I'm currently waiting for spare parts. I was going to order a metal head upgrade anyway but now I just had to do it sooner It will have to rest for two weeks now until I get the spares. Plenty of time to get the simulator cable to work now.

Re: My walkera 22e turned over Now I've got the spare part. The rotor head is repaired. So I wen't out to test the heli for the first time now, but the main motor wouldn't start! I measured voltage to (both motors) and with 0% throttle it was 0V and adding a little I had 11.8V at both. I measured resistance in motors, 2ohm in back and 0.5ohm in main motor. I started to think that the controller had burned after the first crash, so I connected the rear voltage connector to the main motor just to see if it would spin up. bad idea!!! It spun up alright, for 1/4 second until smoke came out of the controller Now I know the controller is broken, how bad luck can one have..? ![]()
