| First post, first flight, first crash, and two trips to the local hobby shop for parts. So after spending a couple of days flying a friend of mine's CX I decide I have to have my own heli. I got a CP pro `cause I didn't want to spend so much money on trainer then have to upgrade. Needless to say it was an interesting first flight. Almost got into a good hover but lost it, just about got inverted before it came down on it's side. Sheared the retainning pin and bent the spindle plus ruined the blades. When it first came down I thought it was a total loss but so far the damage seems minimal. I'm thinking I bit off alittle too much with the CP pro. Anybody know if you can use the same radio to control a CX or I need a different setup? |

| Re: Heli: 1 Me:0 It is true that the CX makes heli flying easy and most do get bored with it quickly The Pro will be much harder but should work for you Try starting with Radds Flight School http://www.dream-models.com/eco/flying-index.html if you can learn with the CP Pro when you finally upgrade to a larger heli flying will get much easier.

| Re: Heli: 1 Me:0 Myh first heli was the same one.... Very twitchy little things and hard to hover right out of the box. If you take the 3 linkages that control the pitch from the swash plate and turn them down 2 full turns it will help you to learn a little easier. What this will do is put more pitch at a lower head speed so the motor won't be going so fast, it will and it will take some of the jitteryness out of it. |

| Re: Heli: 1 Me:0 You could also move the links connected to the servo arms in one hole to make shorter movement .
