First Experinces...

Hi everyone

Last week i bought a Walkera 36 (upgraded with ESC, brushless and lipo) The TX/RX system is a WK701. And a walkera G07 gyro

Well first of all, i just cant leave anything alone. So adjustment all over

After 3 charges i had my first experience with a successful hover/ and bit of control. I was ecstatic...

Next charge.... bad chrash.. Don't really know what went wrong. Think a bit of a breeze got it. I tried to correct but probably did it wrong . Was 20-30 cm in the air. Not sure if the blades went in the ground or I just cut the throttle. Anyway i got a boom strike. OUCH! a bit write of, only had it 2 days!

Well... new main blades, new main rotor holders, new boom, new boom support. New stabilisers, new tail rotor supports. New main gear (bent and oneway bearing was broken)

Finally got it fixed! At the same time i changed all the main frame bolts to 2mm x 20mm. MUCH better those crappy self tapping screws!

A lot of adjusting later, now its somewhat stable in the air (got to train more) Think i went through 10-12 charges now. And i already have 4 lipo packs

Only problem now is getting the gyro adjusted properly.Or the throttle / rudder mix. Having a very small amount of clockwise rotation, maybe 1 rpm, so easily corrected with the rudder.

Conclusion. I love flying, but damn its hard And very rewarding!

Hello and welcome,

I enjoyed reading your story of your first few successful flights. Crashing is all part of the hobby and your really not alone.

Keep up the good effort, Happy hovering.
