Re: hangtime!!

Hi there,

Well done , your first hover is a big acomplishment. Its usually half sheer elation and half butt clenching .

Onwards and upwards. The next hurdle is just round the bend This is one hobby that you'll still be learning in 4 years time it and thats one of the big hooks of the hobby.

Take care... Azzy

Re: hangtime!!

I heard many myths about this hobby....that its expensive, helis are hard to maintain and downright impossible to fly.....one myth even stated that you either went fixed wing or heli....that its impossible to fly both???

Well....yes it can get expensive but helis are easy to maintain...challanging to fly and yes....you can fly both fixed wing and rotory wing....but preferably not at the same time

Well done on the hover....and welcome to the club. I well remember my first flight....it felt like a huge achievment...I was like 'wow....I am actually flying an rc heli!!'
It was something I had always wanted to do....for many years...I had dreamed of this.

Well....take things easy....you will have to push your skills to progress....but thats the fun of it.

Just remember to look after your heli....always think safety....and never fly if you dont feel sure about something....like a dodgy component....and dont feel too bad if you crash...we all do from time to time.

Re: hangtime!!

Great job! I felt the exact same way when I got my first controlled hover, its really nice to feel that control and see yourself doing well at your new hobby. I'm still learning myself and everytime I reach a new goal it feels just as good. Keep it up!
