My 1st... Disaster

Ok... This was my sencond flight and I am still trying to learn how to hover on my own.
When i first started the engine, I hovered for a couple a times and when i landed. suddenly, the servos weren't working!!!
This cause the heli to increase it's own throttle and pitch up. First the rudder went in the ground and ricochet everywhere and then the main blazes hit the boom. My god was a shocked as a noob.

Later at night, I found out that the servos werent working because of a loose contact inside the reciever switch...

The next day I went to an r/c shop to get the whole thing fixed... and the repair cost turned out to be 6000 baht!! (about 150 dollars)

I think it's pure bad luck... didn't even lift off the ground

I have no experiance, but! I think trying to fly a heli is hard enough, therefore I think that you should seek help, like a local club. Or even your local modal club will help. They should if they want people to keep into this hobby, its in there interest!
When me and my brother was teenages. My brother started flying planes. He went to a local club, seeked advice, built his plane. Unfortunatly they wern't much help. So we went out into the fields, got her up and down with a BANG! Not as easy as it looks. Every one is tempted to open there new toy and play.BUT!!
Heli's are quite costly ?????. So seek help. Its not nice letting someone else show you how to fly your pride and joy, But I think its the best way. I will probably do the same as u, till my ? get low
