| Re: cant fly, with a heli anyway! WOWWW, you went from a CX to a x400...Thats a HECK of a step up, how you even managed to get that off the ground is a amazzzement. First off your throttle curve is way off, should be like 0, 100,100,100,100 DEPENDING on your motor, my HB King Motor has to much power so I power down to about 80%. Also as others said make sure your pitch curve is nice and smoooooooth, so its not a hectic transition which will make it jump...Also no need for idle up when your just learning or just hovering around and basic flying, so just keep the negative pitch to about -1 to bring it down in case of wind. CXs are more stable because of the counterroating blades, instead of heli yawing left its got a right blade and instead of going right its got a left blade...In the center of the two blades is a pocket of air the heli rides on making it extremelllllly stable. let us know what happens. |

| Re: cant fly, with a heli anyway! "I can hover and move it from spot to spot as long as I dont turn the nose to me." This is the thing that the CX is great for. That's a pretty easy heli to fly and that gives you a chance to think about other stuff, like orientation. It's easy to say, but if you practice at it you can "put yourself in the heli". Try to think about it in that way. For example, if the heli is aimed to your left, and if you want to bring it closer to you, then if you were in the heli you would have to move the stick to the left. If it was pointed at you, then you would have to move the stick forward to come closer to where you are. That's the way you would see it if you were in the heli. You can practice this in your imagination. I've seen rules of thumb about this but I find that if I just put myself in the thing that works best for me. |
