Talking Do I or Don't I ?

I have a Walkera HM-04 and I have tried to make my bird hover without turning to the left. I have tried to trim it and adjusting the 1 trimpot I have on the 4 in 1 reciever. I thought of cutting a little bit off of the tail rotor until it hovers straight. does anyone have any suggestings before I get out the chainsaw? thanks Wayne

Re: Do I or Don't I ?

Hey Wayne,
you flying inside or out? Trimming the rotor seems to me will make things worse... Natural rotation of the main rotor makes it wanna turn left (clockwise) around itself.
Try tweeking the "mix" or "proportion" a little higher. If you're using training wheels, advance the mix 'til it doesn't try to spin at just under lift off throttle. Then set the gyro gain until you get tail wag (tail moves back and forth by itself) - back off a little bit from there and you should be good.
