| New blades, head, and inner shaft on second battery! Just got my Blade CX today, and it was AWESOME. Didn't take vaery much to trim it out inside a 30 foot camper. Small place for my first flight, but I did good and only hit the cupboards and trash can once, No damage at least. Next battery top off... Was doing good until I came down on from about 6 feet in the air, right onto a stone driveway, heli tipped and I had to learn first hand, no help how to replace inner shaft. Not an easy task. Since then I have only hit a tree, chipped a blade, and broke one of the tail parts. Figured out even chipped blades fly. Someone tell me please if this is bad on the heli, cause as far as I am concerned if it flies it aint broke. Amazing how much better it flies out of the ground effect. Spins fast in one direction but extremely slow in the other, is this normal? John

| Re: New blades, head, and inner shaft on second battery! Yep Even chipped blades fly. If it's only one that's chipped it will mess up your rotor head balance a bit and may cause some vibration, but overall flies. Theoretically, it's not really bad for the heli. The only things I can see with that is possible damage due to overloads in the 3-in-1 if you don't cut the throttle before you crash. As for spinning, I'm pretty sure it's normal since it's only the torque of one set of blades spinning faster than the other that causes the heli to spin. -Dave ![]() |
