Thumbs up Re: First Flight !

Newbie to the rc Heli flight. I bought an older nexus 30 and after having it for a couple years I finally decided to try and fly it. Needless to say, its a great idea to go through everything yourself. Chalk that one off to learning. I didn't crash it, but had one hell of a hard time doing ANYTHING. I don't have alot of knowledge of the parts and what they are called yet, but I think its the feathering shaft that was bent between the main rotor blades and also a bent rod that goes between the 2 small black plastic flaps.

After tearing it all apart and putting it back together I finally got it out for its first flight. Two tanks of gas and a very stable bird while hovering! It did wander a bit, but I have to think that was because it was catching some wind gusts of 10-15mph. I'm flying with a Futaba radio, but I purchased a JR 8103, can anyone recommend servos suitable for a Nexus 30? And maybe a good Gyro?

Thanks in advance,
Chris
