Time for that first flight!

Hiya everyone,

I've been wanting to buy a heli for years and only just plucked up the courage to do it this year.
I first checked out all the sites on the net that I could find, read all the reveiws, checked and rechecked all the advice and then finally checked all the prices.

The kit I decided on in the end is:

JR Venture 30 3dx (chose the 3dx over the standard kit because I preffered the shape of the glass fibre cabin)

JR XP662 Tx
OS 32SXH
JR 700 Rx
JR 511 Servos
CSM 200 HGL Gyro

I fancied the hitec Eclipse to start with but had to cut some cost somewhere.

Anyways I took my time to build it up and learn how to set it up properly, I guess I must have read the manual at least 3 times and hey ho here we are It's ready to fly!!

The one last thing I had to buy was the hex starter shaft which I bought today. The reason I left this to last was because I knew damn well that If I had It to hand, I would have been trying to fly the thing a week ago, and basically If I had, It would have drilled It's self Into the ground.

So when the morrow comes, a friend of mine that I can trust, (like any man I too feel the pangs of jealousy, when they see their baby in the hands of another, especially when their virginity is still intact!!) is taking me to the local club field to put her and me through our paces.

So wish me luck if you would and I'll let you know how it goes.

Thumbs up Good Luck

Good Luck and have fun. I wish I was at the stage where I was ready to fly. I'm just getting into it. I have a lot to learn before taking the step your about too. Did you use a simulator at all to get some practice in, or are you just going for it? We'll be waiting for an update on your maiden voyage.
