90 degree and nose in hover How high should I practice doing 90 degree and nose in hover, so I wouldn't crash my heli when panic hits me. P.S. I can hover tail in pretty good. Thanks Gtseviper

about eye level is good and go slowly not 90 deg in one shot start at 45 and work your way in to it as you get comfertable. remember when your facing one way it tends to come towards you and away in the other direction. and remember that altitute is your friend if all goes wrong get some altitude as you bring the tail back in, nose in will come last get the 90 first. happy flying

no prob this is something else you can do for fun.... step away from your field equipment fly your heli 10 - 15 ft away and go in circles {slowly} keep it tail in at first and turn with it this will get you used to down wind up wind efect . up wind you will need less power as the wind creates lift where-as down wind you need more power ,heli will lose altitude don't worry it wont be much concentrate on keeping the same altitude as you get comfertable go one direction then the next. then combine the 45 deg we talked about earlier then 90 deg always slow and bring the tail back in if you get nervous and suprise your in a slow forward flight steff

Re: 90 degree and nose in hover Hi, i can hover tail in right/left side in with my T-REX. Have to do this in the house, as weather is alway against me, so can not try to fly any sort of circuit and now i'm almost ready to put the training kit back on and go for nose-in. Any advice would be great, or it it a case of starting over again. I now everyone are different, but is their a rough time scale of how long, as i have time at the moment. Thank s...

Re: 90 degree and nose in hover The one thing I would suggest is not to learn nose-in while in the house. You need some room and altitude. Inside doesn't leave much room for correction.
