| I believe there is a tethered helicopter similar to the XRB.Most motors and speed controls would get too hot after about 20 minutes but with the right setup it could be possible. My nerves get frazzled enough during a 15 minute flight!

| yes thats all i was thinking about a fifteen-twenty minute flight then let it rest untill its fully cool wat would be the best setup? for the honey bee get a few battery clips and connect it to the helicopter setup:connect the charger as normal to a long thin wire with clips on either end and fly for about 15 minutes would it fry everything out? (the charger is connected to a car battery) thanks all Jason |

| Re: flying by wire the location of the battery doesn't matter. wether on the groun or on the heli it just doesn't make a difference except your heli will fly easier, but the tail isn't counterweighted. to counter weight it you'd add weight to the fron making it harder to lift, which incase would just simulate the battery being there in the first place. so in the long run the best thing to do is just get a li-poly and fly 20 min with a much larger range. your idea will work if your make sure that you have the same voltage and a high enough amperage.

| hi i was thinking of buying a tough helicopter like the honeybee/twister and get past the learning stage by using a wire connected to a longer lasting battery then the stock one so i could be in the air for longer at a time and then when im ready for outdoor flying i could use a lipo battery thanks everyone Jason |

| Re: flying by wire Who said that twister is a tough helli ?? It is stable cheap parts but do not even think of flying in light wind as for tough ask me it's not tough at all first thing to break is the skids and blades second is the main gear and axele bend and then every few flight you need a tail motor and if you are unluky like me you fry the receiver. ![]()

| Re: flying by wire it's a copy of a dragonfly 4 (which in turn is a copy of another heli) copys of a copy don't turn out well. the 4 is supposed to be one of the most upgradeable (no 3D sorry) heli's out there as well as extremely sturdy. it's one of those things that most people never spend more than $120 on after 4 years. Its also the best deal out there in every way,
